Caritas -- what's wrong with this video?

Caritas has just released a new video:

http://youtu.be/qhU5JEd-XRo

CNA tells us:

LINK

"Caritas launches powerful animated short to fight global hunger. Rome, Italy, Sep 3, 2014 / 05:26 am (CNA).- Global Catholic relief agency Caritas Internationalis has launched a new video aimed at promoting awareness about the need to help one another in the fight against worldwide hunger."

=====

There's just one thing missing from the new Caritas video -- any mention of the Catholic Church. Also missing -- the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

=====

Back in 2012 Caritas was told by the Vatican to get its act together and stop acting like a branch of the United Nations or like a secular humanist NGO and to start acting like it is part of the Catholic Church.

=====

That was then.... this is now.

Now that ratzinger is out and bergoglio is in its back to business as usual at Caritas.

The Caritas Internationalis website proclaims:

LINK

Our mission:
Towards a civilization of love
Caritas -- ending poverty, promoting justice and restoring dignity.
Caritas Internationalis reflects the social mission and core values of the Catholic Church. We believe in dignity, solidarity and stewardship on behalf of the world’s most vulnerable people.

If you remove "Catholic Church" above and replace it with "United Nations".... well you get the idea.

=====

The President of Caritas Internationalis is.... Cardinal Oscar Rodríguez Maradiaga.

  1. Nice catch Michael! Isn't it ironic that Francis aligns himself with these NGOs while simultaneously complaining the Novus Ordo church is turning into an NGO? Did you also see there were six people sitting the same arrangement as the Israeli flag?
