To restore all things in Christ

To restore all things in Christ

A hymn dedicated to Archbishop Lefebvre
-- the founder of the Society of St. Pius X --
on the anniversary of his departure from this world
to enter into a new life
(November 29, 1905 -- March 25, 1991)

To restore all things in Christ
No matter the sacrifice
To be willing to pay any price
To fight until the end
To free the world from sin

Does it seem like there’s no end?
And there’s nothing to defend?
We were always free to choose
But In this dark night
Where is the light?

Archbishop Lefebvre you walked
In the footsteps of the saints
Your motto was charity
And with such great clarity
You showed us the way

Don’t be too quick to condemn
God’s soldiers must fight other men
It can be difficult to comprehend
Because angels can’t be seen
And Satan’s behind the scenes

To restore all things in Christ
No matter the sacrifice
To be willing to pay any price
To fight until the end
To free the world from sin

St. Pius X you taught
That Christ’s Truth cannot be changed
And that the Church must be saved
From the grave errors
That threaten her existence

Archbishop Lefebvre your priests
Offer up a sacrifice
On the altar of the Lord
In persona Christi
In remembrance of Him

Holy Mother of the Church
Holy Spouse and Holy Child
All the angels and the saints
Pray for us
Pray for us

  1. Archbishop Lefebvre was correct in rejecting Vatican Council II(Cushingism version): the Magisterium was not aware of the false premise during the excommunication
